Welsh woollies

Recently I have had a couple of short breaks in Wales - and on one of them came across this lovely woollen mill

 - you can look it up at www.melintregwynt.co.uk - it's a working mill and you can watch the process of setting up the looms and weaving the fabrics.
You can also read some of the history displayed on the walls.
So why am I writing about this - apart from the fact that I love fabrics - they produce lovely designs  - which could be an inspiration for some patchwork blocks  - take a look at the photos below -

I just love the colours and shapes - so get inspired and create your own colour ways and designs. Use some of our geometric dies to make the cutting easy - how about Bigz dies 657605 (rectangle) and 657607 ( square ) for a start and then how about trying some circles - 658315
Did I mention that there is also a coffee shop where they serve good coffee and cake, and it is in a beautiful location.
All round it was a good day out and a source of inspiration - so watch out for some projects that have been inspired by these lovely fabrics.
Have fun sewing something this week.
Angela
